J.D. Davis Isn't In Thursday's Lineup
3 years agoNew York Mets third baseman J.D. Davis isn't in the starting lineup on Thursday. The Mets will take on the Miami Marlins and right-hander Sandy Alcantara but will do so with Davis on the bench. The 28-year-old is hitting .297 with a .390 on-base percentage, five home runs, and a stolen base in 182 plate appearances this season. New York is starting Jonathan Villar at third base instead against the Marlins. Villar, who is batting leadoff on Thursday, is hitting .257 with a .331 on-base percentage, 16 home runs, and 10 stolen bases in 386 plate appearances this season. He's worth a look as a streaming option on Thursday despite the tough matchup against Alcantara.
