Chi Chi Gonzalez Gives Up Three Runs, Walks Four
3 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Chi Chi Gonzalez took a no-decision on Thursday when he allowed three runs on four hits with four walks and one strikeout over 3 2/3 innings in a 6-5 loss to the Atlanta Braves. Gonzalez had an inefficient outing on Thursday, issuing four walks and needing 79 pitches--43 strikes--to get through his 3 2/3 innings. Jorge Soler smashed a solo homer off him in the first inning and Austin Riley added two more runs with an RBI double in the third. The Rockies still had the lead when he exited the ball game but he didn't go deep enough to qualify for the decision. He now owns a 6.13 ERA, 1.46 WHIP, and 55:28 K/BB ratio over 98 1/3 innings (23 appearances, 17 starts). He'll face the Giants at home in his next turn and shouldn't be streamed in that one.
