3 years agoPittsburgh Pirates outfielder Anthony Alford went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in Friday's 6-5 loss to the Chicago Cubs. He blasted a solo shot off Alec Mills in the fifth inning and then launched a two-run shot in the sixth frame. The 27-year-old has now homered four times over his last nine games. Overall, he is slashing .186/.250/.400 with four home runs, seven RBI, and two stolen bases over 76 plate appearances in 2021. Alford is the Pirates' everyday left fielder and is a speculative add in deep-league formats while he's locked in at the plate.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
