3 years agoAric Almirola won at New Hampshire then followed that up with four straight finishes of 19th place or better. That was enough to help the driver make "The Chase" for the first time. The young Stewart-Haas Racing driver will now see the intensity of the final ten races firsthand. He crashed out in the opening laps of the Spring race at Darlington. On the other hand, the No. 10 car finished 12th, 7th, and 9th on the track in 2020. Almirola does start eighth on Sunday and that could be a springboard for him. One of the big problems with the Spring race and in general for Almirola is that trouble finds him.
