German Marquez Allows Two Runs In No-Decision
3 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher German Marquez took a no-decision on Saturday when he allowed four runs--two earned--on four hits with one walk and five strikeouts over five innings in a 7-6 win over the Atlanta Braves. Marquez didn't have his best game on Saturday but kept the Rockies in it as Ian Anderson struggled on the other side for the Braves. A fielding error in the first inning extended the inning and Braves were able to score two runs, which were unearned on Marquez's line. He did give up a few earned runs courtesy of Ozzie Albies and Jorge Soler. The 26-year-old hurler now owns a 4.08 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, and 161:55 K/BB ratio over 161 innings (28 starts). He'll get the Phillies on the road in his next turn.
