Jose Suarez Goes The Distance
3 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher Jose Suarez (6-7) threw a one-run complete game against the Texas Rangers in Saturday's 4-1 win. He had eight strikeouts, no walks, and allowed five hits across the nine innings. It was the longest start of his career, and the first time he's gone more than 5.2 innings this season. The outing brought his ERA down to 3.74, and he's struck out 69 batters over 77 innings. However, he still has a 4.71 ERA in 10 games as a starter this season. Suarez can be left on the waiver wire for now until he proves he can replicate this production.
