Charlie Blackmon Hits Another Home Run On Saturday
3 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Charlie Blackmon went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI, two runs scored, a walk, and a strikeout in a 7-6 win over the Atlanta Braves. Blackmon's big hit came in the bottom of the third inning when he swatted a two-run homer, his 13th of the season, off Ian Anderson to put Colorado up 4-3. He reached base two more times in the game with a single and a walk as well. The veteran outfielder has found his power stroke, homering in three straight contests. For the year, he's slashing .271/.349/.420 with 13 home runs, 71 RBI, and three stolen bases over 436 at-bats on the year. His numbers are underwhelming when you consider his pedigree but he's been a decent OF option in mixed leagues for the most part.
