Raimel Tapia Triples In Lopsided Loss To Atlanta
3 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Raimel Tapia went 2-for-4 with a triple and a run scored in a 9-2 loss to the Atlanta Braves on Sunday. Tapia jumped up to second in the batting order in the wake of Connor Joe's hamstring injury and performed well. He was the only player on the Rockies to record a hit on the day, which speaks to how abysmal of a game this was for Colorado. Tapia has been scuffling at the plate since returning from the injured list, going just 3-for-22 over the last seven games. Overall, he's put together a solid season with a .281 batting average, .711 OPS, five home runs, 46 RBI, and 20 stolen bases over 417 at-bats. The 20 thefts are a career-high for the 27-year-old outfielder.
