Martin Truex Jr Wild Night Yields Fourth at Darlington
3 years agoMartin Truex Jr. and the No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing car had a bit of a crazy night at Darlington. This time, he could dominate like the Spring race where he led all but 45 laps. Truex Jr. had a pit violation and a few car issues. Despite all that, Truex Jr charged up and had third-place lined up on Sunday night. The problem was he ran out of time and had to settle for fourth. Ironically, the biggest problem may have been the loose wheel for the driver. That cut a lot of his momentum. Losing out on those Stage 2 points hurt and he was 23rd after the second stage. That created a lot of work for Truex Jr. and yet still the driver finished in the top five.
