Washington Signs Jonathan Williams To Practice Squad
3 years agoThe Washington Football Team has signed running back Jonathan Williams to their practice squad after releasing him prior to the 53-man roster deadline last week. This move comes after Peyton Barber signed with the Las Vegas Raiders from the Washington practice squad, so Williams could be promoted to the active roster if there are any injuries or COVID-19 related issues with Antonio Gibson, J.D. McKissic, or Jaret Patterson. Williams spent time with the Detroit Lions last year where he carried the ball just one time for five yards. In 2019, the 27-year-old was with the Indianapolis Colts and put up 49 carries for 235 yards and one touchdown. He can be disregarded in all fantasy formats for now because of his current situation where he is buried on the depth chart.
