Janson Junk Roughed Up In Debut
3 years agoLos Angeles Angels right-hander Janson Junk (0-1) didn't have the debut he hoped for, taking the loss in just 3.2 innings against the Texas Rangers on Sunday. He allowed five runs (one earned) on six hits, one walk, two home runs, and picked up a pair of strikeouts. Junk, acquired in the Andrew Heaney trade, had good numbers in Double-A this year, pitching to a 2.81 ERA with 97 strikeouts in 93 innings. He doesn't have much upside, however, ranking 22nd on the Angels top 30 prospect list, according to MLB.com, and should be left alone in every league for now.
