3 years agoHouston Astros designated hitter Yordan Alvarez will hit third Monday against the Mariners. The left-handed slugger will get the start despite going against Seattle's projected starter, left-hander Yusei Kikuchi. Alvarez is 4-for-19 (.211) over his last seven games but is posting an impressive .885 OPS against left-handed pitching this season. Alvarez is slashing .282/.346/.535 with 26 doubles, 28 home runs, 77 runs scored and 89 runs batted in through 443 at-bats heading into Monday's matchup.--Joey C - RotoBaller
