3 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Garrett Hampson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a strikeout in a 10-5 loss to the San Francisco Giants on Monday. Hampson took Kevin Gausman deep in the bottom of the seventh inning for his only hit of the ball game. It was his ninth long ball of the year. Hampson has played sparingly over the last 15 games, logging just 39 at-bats, and has struggled with a .205/.262/.308 batting line over that span. It's been an underwhelming season overall for the speedy 26-year-old as he's got suboptimal .237/.291/.382 batting line with nine home runs, 27 RBI, and 16 stolen bases over 393 at-bats. Even with the stolen bases, it's hard to roster Hampson because he's a liability in every other meaningful category.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
