3 years agoDetroit Lions running back Jamaal Williams will take on a 49ers defense in Week 1 that allowed the eighth fewest fantasy point to opposing backs last season. Williams came over in the offseason from the Packers to add more punch to the Lions backfield and has enjoyed a solid training camp. With teammate D'Andre Swift (groin) missing a large chunk of training camp, Williams has quickly earned the trust of the coaching staff. Despite the tough matchup, Williams should have fantasy value in deeper formats as he figures to see 10-plus touches in Week 1. But expectations need to be tempered as Williams fits more into the RB3/4 category than full-blown Week 1 fantasy starter.--Joey C - RotoBaller
