Pete Alonso Belts Two Homers On Tuesday
3 years agoNew York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso went 2-for-4 with two home runs, three RBI, two runs scored, and a walk in the Mets 9-4 win over the Marlins on Tuesday. The homers were Alonso's third in two days, and his 100th and 101st career home runs. Alonso became the second-fastest player in MLB history to get to 100 home runs (347 games), behind only Ryan Howard who got to 100 homers in 325 games. On the season, Alonso now has 32 homers, 84 RBI, and a slash line of .269/.348/.526 over 129 games. Known to hit home runs in bunches, Alonso should remain active in all fantasy formats and is a solid DFS play while his bat remains red hot.
