Max Fried Holds His Own On Tuesday
3 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Max Fried worked himself out of a handful of jams during Tuesday's game against the Washington Nationals. He went six innings, six hits allowed, one earned run, four walks, and five strikeouts in the 8-5 victory. The 27-year-old clearly had control issues with four walks, but managed to escape with limited damage. He'll take a 3.42 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 136/39 K/BB ratio into his next outing versus the Miami Marlins. This should be a favorable matchup for Fried, assuming he has control of his pitches.
