3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Dakota Hudson (elbow) threw 46 pitches in a four-inning rehab start on Tuesday, walking two and striking out one. It was his third rehab start thus far, and the team wants him to appear in at least two more, according to Derrick S. Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Hudson has missed all of 2021 after undergoing Tommy John surgery last year, but he may return to the club this season. If he does make it back to the Cardinals, it would likely be in a relief role as he tries to ease back into things. In 2020, Hudson pitched to a 2.77 ERA, albeit with 20.5 K% and 9.9 BB%. He has very little value as a reliever and should be kept on the waiver wire if he returns.--Spencer Seguin - RotoBaller
