Vikings Sign Brian O’Neill To Five-Year Extension
3 years agoMinnesota Vikings right tackle Brian O'Neill has signed a five-year extension worth $92.5 million, making him the second-highest paid player at the position in the NFL. The former second-round pick has played in 46 games with the Vikings and is viewed by many as the best offensive lineman on the team. In 2020, he played 1,070 offensive snaps while taking eight penalties and allowing three sacks, according to PFF. Dalvin Cook and Kirk Cousins are sure to be the main beneficiaries of O'Neill sticking around in Minnesota, as he can open up some running lanes and give his quarterback enough time to throw the ball.
