J.D. McKissic Not A Starting Option In Week 1
3 years agoWashington Football Team running back J.D. McKissic was one of the best pass-catching running backs in all of the NFL last year after recording 80 receptions (110 targets) while serving as the primary third-down back. Antonio Gibson is primed for a larger workload as a sophomore, so McKissic's outlook is not nearly as promising this season. In what should be a low-scoring contest against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 1, the 28-year-old can be left on the bench in fantasy lineups because of the anticipated workhorse role of Gibson. Last year, the Chargers ranked near the middle of the league in terms of rushing yards allowed per game and allowed the ninth-fewest passing yards per game. It would be best to take a wait-and-see approach with McKissic before inserting him into fantasy lineups.
