Tim Anderson Takes Batting Practice Wednesday
3 years agoChicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson (hamstring) took batting practice on Wednesday, according to James Fegan of The Athletic. Anderson was placed on the injured list on September 1 after straining his left hamstring. It's a step in the right direction, and hopefully, he can continue his progression and make it back on the field before the season's end. He's continued to be one of the best hitting shortstops in baseball this year, contributing in multiple categories while slashing .302/.331/.458 with 14 HRs, 53 RBI, 82 runs, and 17 SBs. Utility man Leury Garcia should continue to play short for the Sox until Anderson's back but provides little value with a .691 OPS and three home runs in 105 games.
