Elias Diaz Shows Off His Power On Wednesday
3 years agoColorado Rockies catcher Elias Diaz went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, two doubles, and a run scored in a 7-4 loss to the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday. Diaz had a big day at the plate, swatting a pair of doubles and a solo home run. He was the only player on the Rockies to go deep and he hit 2/3 of their extra-base hits in the three-run loss to the Giants. Diaz's power is undeniable with 15 doubles and 16 home runs over 284 at-bats this season. However, those counting stats go along with a lackluster .232/.303/.461 batting line. He's been more productive and consistent than fellow backstop Dom Nunez but he's been hard to roster due to his inconsistency.
