3 years agoNew England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones won the starting spot with his impressive performance during the preseason. That means, the rookie quarterback will be the starter going forward with veteran Cam Newton being released. The 15th overall pick held his own in the preseason, but that also wasn't against first string defensive players. It's also worth noting Jones could be without two of his main wide receivers for this game. His first assignment will be against the Miami Dolphins who were tied for second-fewest passing touchdowns allowed in 2020. Jones certainly has plenty of upside as a player, but is a streaming option at best to begin his career. It's unlikely that Jones posts enough value to warrant starting in 12-team standard formats right away.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
