3 years agoNew York Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton isn't in the lineup on Friday for a road matchup against the New York Mets and right-hander Tylor Megill. With the Yankees in a National League ballpark, Stanton will head to the bench for this game. The 31-year-old is batting .268 with a .358 on-base percentage and 26 home runs in 492 plate appearances this season. Stanton has appeared in 113 games this season, and 96 of those games have come as New York's designated hitter.
