3 years agoCincinnati Reds third baseman Mike Moustakas isn't starting on Friday against the St. Louis Cardinals and left-hander Jon Lester. Moustakas is batting .209 with a .293 on-base percentage and six home runs in 181 plate appearances this season. Eugenio Suarez is hitting fifth and starting at third base in Moustakas' place. The 29-year-old is batting .136 with a .244 on-base percentage, five home runs, and a 34.6% strikeout rate in 127 plate appearances against left-handed pitchers this season.
