3 years agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo will kick off his fifth season with the team, as Trey Lance looms in the background. The 29-year-old has a great matchup on Sunday, as he faces the third-worst pass defense from a season ago. Although the matchup seems great on paper, the former New England Patriot is not a reliable option for fantasy managers. In what should be a run-heavy game script for the 49ers, Garoppolo could potentially have his passing volume be extremely limited. The offense could look to exploit the run defense of their opposition with a heavy dose of Raheem Mostert and Trey Sermon.
