3 years agoNew York Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez isn't in Saturday's lineup. Sanchez will get the day off as the Yankees take on the New York Mets and right-handed starter Taijuan Walker. The 28-year-old is hitting .210 with a .312 on-base percentage and 21 home runs in 388 plate appearances this season. Kyle Higashioka is batting eighth and starting at catcher on Saturday. In 177 plate appearances this year, Higashioka is hitting .176 with a .254 on-base percentage and nine home runs.
