Kirk Cousins Compiles Stats In Comeback Attempt
3 years agoMinnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins completed 36 of 49 passes for 351 yards and two touchdowns versus the Cincinnati Bengals. Entering the season, the narrative that the Vikings would try to relentlessly run the ball persisted, slightly devaluing their passing-game assets in drafts. In Week 1, Minnesota found themselves in need of a comeback and were apt to passing. Cousins did nothing spectacular, but showed that he is still capable of leading an offense with several weapons to fantasy success. The Michigan State product should always be started in superflex leagues, and depending on his matchup, he could be a great streaming option. However, if fantasy managers use Cousins as a streamer, they should beware that there's a very likely situation in which the run game takes over and Cousins is left with an unspectacular stat line.
