Brandon Nimmo Progressing Well
3 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo (hamstring) is progressing fast after injuring his leg and landing on the 10-day injured list on September 4. According to Anthony DiComo, Nimmo has been sprinting and hitting on the field. He's eligible to be activated on Wednesday, but the team might wait until the weekend to bring him back. Nimmo's been one of the few bright spots in the Mets lineup this season, slashing .302/.420/.415 with five home runs and five stolen bases over 77 games. He isn't the best outfield option in most leagues with his career .441 slugging but is very valuable in OBP formats. Until he's back, expect Kevin Pillar to remain in center field. He's hitting .224 but can be a streaming option with his 14 HRs in 108 games.
