Clyde Edwards-Helaire Leads Chiefs Backfield In Week 1
3 years agoKansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire rushed 14 times for 43 yards in Week 1 versus the Cleveland Browns. The sophomore runner also caught all three of his targets for 29 yards. CEH got his fair share of touches in this contest, but he was unable to find the end zone. With the Chiefs operating heavily in the pass game and competing with wide receiver Tyreek Hill and tight end Travis Kelce for touches, Edwards-Helaire will need to score to maintain most of value. Even without a touchdown, CEH remains a solid RB2 option with the Chiefs having one of the best offenses in the game. The good news is that he was the main man out of the backfield and Darrel Williams only saw one touch on the afternoon. Next up for Edwards-Helaire will be a date with the Baltimore Ravens in Week 2.
