Ty Johnson Fails To Capitalize Versus Panthers
3 years agoNew York Jets running back Ty Johnson is expected to be a dual-threat option for this offense in 2021. However, he is stuck in a three-back committee with Tevin Coleman and Michael Carter. On Sunday, Johnson rushed four times for 15 yards and caught one pass for 11 yards in the loss to the Carolina Panthers. None of the backs in New York did well in this matchup. There is some upside for Johnson because of his pass catching ability. However, he won't be a reliable option for their Week 2 matchup against the New England Patriots.
