Austin Hooper Quiet In Week 1 Loss
3 years agoCleveland Browns tight end Austin Hooper caught all three of his targets for 27 yards in a 33-29 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1. Hooper got off to a hot start, hauling in all three of his catches on Cleveland's first drive of the game. He disappeared after that as he wasn't targeted for the rest of the contest. To make matters worse, fellow tight end David Njoku significantly outplayed Hooper, finishing with 76 yards to lead the team in receiving. A popular Week 1 play with Odell Beckham Jr. sidelined, Hooper is going to be hard to insert into starting lineups in fantasy until he proves that he is going to be more than an afterthought in the Cleveland passing attack. He should remain on benches for Week 2's matchup against the Houston Texans.
