Jorge Polanco Crushes 30th Homer
3 years agoMinnesota Twins second baseman/shortstop Jorge Polanco belted his 30th homer of the season in a losing effort to the Yankees Monday. Polanco reached the 30-homer milestone for the first time in his career, sending a 421-foot blast into the outfield seats at 105.5 MPH. The veteran infielder always had some pop in his bat but has taken the next step as a power hitter, posting career highs in exit velocity, barrel rate, launch angle, both expected statistics, and hard-hit rate. Polanco will get a doubleheader against the Indians Tuesday, which will give fantasy managers two games worth of production from the red-hot slugger.
