3 years agoNew York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts and a walk in the Mets 7-0 loss to the Cardinals on Monday. Alonso, who was red hot last week, has fallen into a minor funk at the dish. Over his last seven games, Alonso is batting just .143/.250/.464 with two homers and four RBI. He is also now hitless in his last four games, having gone a combined 0-for-16 with five strikeouts. Despite the recent slump, Alonso remains a must-start in all formats.
