Monitoring the Backfield Situations in Baltimore and San Francisco
It only took a matter of a few days, but what was once settled situations at the running back positions for the Ravens and 49ers, has now devolve into confusion. The signing of Latavius Murray late last week made things in Baltimore a little more murky. Ty'Son Williams was expected to take a large role for the Ravens but after an inconsistent Week 1, Murray will likely create a committee situation for this team moving forward. As for the 49ers, the season-ending injury to Raheem Mostert has now created opportunity. Trey Sermon's surprise healthy scratch last week allowed for the emergence of Elijah Mitchell. Now fantasy managers will have a tough time determining which back will be more useful on a weekly basis.
