Nathan Eovaldi Continues Strong Stretch Tuesday
3 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi was effective once again Tuesday, allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits and a walk in five innings against the Seattle Mariners. He struck out nine batters and took a no-decision in the 8-4 victory. Eovaldi hasn't allowed more than three earned runs in a start since August 6, and has a 1.90 ERA and 0.96 WHIP with 56 strikeouts in 42 2/3 innings during that span. Fantasy managers should see plenty of volume from him going forward, as Boston may arrange their rotation to maximize Eovaldi and Chris Sale's starts.
