Marco Gonzales Delivers Quality Start In No-Decision
3 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Marco Gonzales got off to a tough start against the Boston Red Sox Wednesday, giving up three runs over his first two innings of work, but he recovered and was not scored upon in his final four innings. He gave up three hits and two walks with seven strikeouts. Gonzales has quality starts in seven of his last nine outings, and he's been sneakily excellent since the All-Star break with a 2.53 ERA in 67 2/3 innings. He's a strong play the rest of the way, especially for fantasy managers who can afford a more limited strikeout total.
