3 years agoLas Vegas Raiders quarterback Marcus Mariota (quad) is expected to be out multiple weeks after aggravating a quad injury during a 31-yard run in Monday's 33-27 win over the Baltimore Ravens. "A few weeks is best case scenario," per Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. The 27-year-old missed the entire preseason due to a quad issue and re-aggravated it in Monday's win. He is expected to be placed on the short-term reserve and will miss multiple weeks. The Raiders had plans to sprinkle Mariota into the offense but will now be without the quarterback. "We lost a big piece of our offense," said Raiders head Jon Gruden. Nate Peterman will serve as the backup to starting quarterback Derek Carr while Mariota is sidelined.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
