3 years agoSan Francisco Giants first baseman Brandon Belt continued to hit for power in Wednesday's 9-6 loss to the Padres, going 2-for-5 with a single, a solo home run, and two strikeouts. Belt's seventh-inning HR was his 25th of the season and his fifth in the last eight games. The veteran has been a contributor all season and is now slashing .263/.365/.581 with 52 RBI. The Giants' upcoming matchups with the Braves and Padres aren't the best, but the then will get the Rockies on the road and the Diamondbacks. Given that and how well he has been hitting, Belt could be a nice late-season fantasy roster addition.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
