Carlos Santana Gets A Breather Thursday
3 years agoKansas City Royals first baseman Carlos Santana is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Oakland Athletics, according to MLB.com. Santana has been dreadful with the bat this season, slashing .219/.322/.359 with 19 HRs, 63 RBI, and 63 runs in 141 games. He's only relevant in deep leagues at this point, thanks to his double-digit home run potential. With Santana on the bench, Ryan O'Hearn will head to first base, while Salvador Perez will DH, and Sebastian Rivero will start at catcher. He's appeared in just 13 games this season and has put up poor numbers thus far. He has .464 OPS with no home runs and should be left alone on the waiver wire.
