Janson Junk Pitches Well In Win
3 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher Janson Junk (0-1) put up good results in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Chicago White Sox but didn't factor into the decision. He went 4.1 innings while allowing three hits, no walks, and added two strikeouts. The only run he surrendered came from a Yoan Moncada solo shot in the fourth inning. Junk has made two starts now in his brief career and owns a 2.25 ERA with an 11.8 K% and 2.9 BB%, after sporting a 2.81 ERA with 97 strikeouts over 93 Triple-A innings this year. Junk should be left on the waiver wire, as he's thrown just eight innings in his two starts and probably won't go deep into games for the remainder of the season.
