3 years agoArizona Diamondbacks catcher Carson Kelly isn't starting on Saturday against right-hander Lance McCullers Jr. and the Houston Astros. Kelly has provided quality production at the catcher position when healthy this season, especially in leagues where on-base percentage is part of the scoring. In 316 plate appearances for Arizona this year, the 26-year-old is hitting .237 with a .351 on-base percentage and 11 home runs. However, Daulton Varsho is starting on Saturday. Varsho is hitting fifth against McCullers Jr. It's a tough matchup to be sure, but the catcher could be worth a look as a streaming option. Varsho is hitting .237 with a .319 on-base percentage, 10 home runs, and five stolen bases in 252 plate appearances this season.--Ben Rosener - RotoBaller
