Brandon Belt Not In Sunday's Lineup
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants' first baseman Brandon Belt is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Braves, according to MLB.com. Belt's having one of the best seasons of his career, slashing .260/.365/.577 with 26 HRs, 54 RBI, and 57 runs over 90 games. His OPS is .877 off of lefties, compared to .956 against right-handers this year, and so he'll get the day off with southpaw Max Fried on the mound. Wilmer Flores will take his spot at first base and bat seventh. Flores is hitting well against left-handers, slashing .293/.333/.474 with six home runs in 133 at-bats, and fantasy managers in most leagues can stream him for first base help.
