3 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Elijah Mitchell (shoulder) will undergo an MRI, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan. The rookie suffered a shoulder injury during the Week 2 win over the Philadelphia Eagles and briefly exited as a result. He did return, which was welcome news, but the team ultimately won't know more about his status moving forward until he receives a more thorough examination. With Trey Sermon (concussion) and JaMycal Hasty (ankle) both also dealing with injuries, the Niners may have to make a transaction or two heading into the Week 3 outing against the Green Bay Packers.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
