Shohei Ohtani Strikes Out 10 In No-Decision
3 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher/designated hitter Shohei Ohtani was sharp on the mound Sunday, striking out 10 in eight innings of work during the 3-2 loss to the Oakland Athletics. He allowed two runs on five hits, three walks and one home run as well. The outing ties his career-high for innings pitched in a game, which was set in August of this year. He now owns a 3.28 ERA with a 1.11 WHIP and 28.9 strikeout percentage. Ohtani also reached base twice, going 0-for-2 with a couple of walks. He's been one of the better hitters this season, producing a .257/.360/.592 slash line, 44 home runs and 23 steals thanks to a huge first half. However, since August, he's hitting just .205 with seven home runs and a .377 slugging percentage. Still, Ohtani is one of the most valuable fantasy options in baseball in every format.
