Jarvis Landry Sustains Sprained MCL, Will Be Week-To-Week
3 years agoCleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry (knee) has been confirmed to have sustained a sprained MCL during the team's Week 2 win over the Texans. Head coach Kevin Stefanski said Monday that it was too soon to know whether or not Landry would need to land on injured reserve, but for the time being, the wideout would be evaluated on a week-by-week basis. With that said, Landry's odds of taking the field in Week 3 against Chicago seem infinitesimal, an issue exacerbated by the absence of Odell Beckham Jr. Should both star receivers be absent, Donovan Peoples-Jones, Rashard Higgins, and Anthony Schwartz would stand to see elevated roles in the Cleveland passing game, at least on a short-term basis.
