Robert Thomas Signs Bridge Contract With St. Louis
3 years agoRobert Thomas signed a new two-year deal with the St. Louis Blues late on Tuesday night. This was so he could get into training camp without the contract being a lingering issue. The deal pays the forward an AAV of $2.8 million. Thomas had a bit of a down year with just three goals and 12 points in 33 games last season. He played mostly bottom-six minutes and averaged just under 14 minutes of playing time a night. With the Blues' depth in flux, is this the year that Thomas plays more of a top-six role? That remains to be a question mark. Despite that, the center has potential. He did score 42 points in 66 games during his sophomore campaign. If healthy, Thomas can get to that level again.
