Jared Cook Has Favorable Matchup In Week 3
3 years agoLos Angeles Chargers tight end Jared Cook will look for his first touchdown of the season versus the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 3. The veteran caught five balls for 56 yards in Week 2 versus the Dallas Cowboys, but had a touchdown taken away with a penalty. The Chiefs defense has been vulnerable to the tight end position through the first two weeks of the season and are allowing 6.5 catches and 93 yards per game to the position. That being said, no tight end has scored against the Chiefs this season. Cook tends to put up solid numbers on a yearly basis, but he is also matchup dependent with wide receivers Keenan Allen and Mike Williams to go along with running back Austin Ekeler all being ahead of him for targets. In what has the potential to be an offensive game and combined with the Chiefs struggles to defend the tight end position, Cook should be looked at as a TE1 in 10-team leagues.
