3 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Raimel Tapia went 1-for-5 with a two-run homer in a 7-5 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Thursday. Tapia's only hit was an impressive one as he turned on a Max Scherzer offering with Kyle Freeland aboard in the fifth inning. The result was a two-run homer to right field that gave the Rockies a 5-3 advantage. The lead wouldn't last and it was Tapia's only hit of the ball game. The 27-year-old was on his way to a stellar season before a big toe injury in early August sidelined him for three weeks. He's struggled to get things going since his activation from the IL and now owns a .272/.327/.372 batting line with six home runs, 49 RBI, and 20 stolen bases over 452 at-bats.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
