3 years agoCarolina Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard carried the ball 11 times for 52 rushing yards while hauling in three of five targets for 27 receiving yards in a Week 3 win over Houston. Hubbard had taken a backseat to Christian McCaffrey (hamstring) the past two weeks but was thrust into the lead-back role when the star halfback left with an injury. The rookie was on the field for 56 percent of the snaps, handling 14 touches to Royce Freeman's six. Hubbard is a strong add wherever available following this performance, as it looks like the Panthers trust him in the lead-back role.--Tim Capurso
