Jamaal Williams Remains In Backfield Timeshare
3 years agoDetroit Lions running back Jamaal Williams should continue to split carries in the backfield in Week 3 against the Ravens. Williams is considered the RB2 on the Lions but already has racked up 79 rushing yards with one rushing touchdown and 11 receptions for 68 yards. The Lions lead back, D'Andre Swift, has been limited in practice this week with a groin injury which could increase Williams workload. The Lions will take on a Ravens defense that has not given up a ton of yards to opposing backs but has surrendered three touchdowns to the position through the first two weeks. Swift's availability will dictate whether Williams could have FLEX appeal for this weekend's action.
